Pretty Good Racing League | Season 5 | Round 6
Premier Series | Chicagoland Speedway

In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Jeff Ward of Loud Pedal Motorsports secured his second consecutive victory in the highly anticipated Good Win, Jeff / Watchin’ Jeff Go By 200, presented by MC2 Editing Services, at Chicagoland Speedway. The race unfolded with Ryan Rose leading the field from the pole position, while Ward started his ascent from eighth place.

As the race commenced, Rose found himself engaged in a fierce battle for the lead with Isaiah Dupre, trading positions in an exhilarating back-and-forth contest over the first 25 laps. However, Dupre’s pace began to wane, leaving Rose to contend with the relentless pressure from Michael Chrobok. Chrobok closed in on Rose, attempting to seize the lead on lap 38, while Ward quietly made his way through the field, steadily advancing to third place.

While the battle for the lead ensued, Ward seized the opportunity, skillfully maneuvering past Chrobok and setting his sights on claiming the lead for himself. Ward executed a decisive move, surpassing Rose and taking control of the race on lap 43. Rose, eager to regain momentum, made a late entry onto pit road but missed the entrance, resulting in a penalty and a setback in his race.

Ward, aware of the shifting dynamics, entered pit road on lap 45, with Chrobok following suit one lap later. However, the fan-favorite Scott Eckrich encountered an unfortunate turn of events, misjudging his pit entry and being forced into the grass as Saif Faries inadvertently made contact with the rear of Eckrich’s car while trailing him into the pits.

With the pit cycle completed, Ward emerged as the race leader, closely pursued by Chrobok in second place. Ward maintained his composure and held onto the lead for the remainder of the race, crossing the finish line to claim a well-deserved victory, with Chrobok securing an impressive second-place finish.

Ward’s exceptional performance propelled him to the top of the point standings, now holding a 14-point advantage over Chrobok. Colton Salek, the points leader prior to the race, faced difficulties and eventually retired early, falling back to third place in the standings.

As anticipation builds, the next round of thrilling racing action is scheduled to take place at Atlanta Motor Speedway on July 11th. Racing enthusiasts won’t want to miss a moment of the exhilarating competition, as all the action unfolds live at 8:55 PM ET, exclusively on the Virtual Grip Network.
