In a thrilling night at Southern National Speedway, Aiden Young of Gambler Motorsports secured a well-earned victory in the Bootleg Racing League Outlaw SK Modified Invitational Series. The race was filled with twists, turns, and a fair share of drama, making it a memorable evening for racing fans.

The race began with Lowell Jewell leading the pack from the pole position, while Aiden Young started from the 13th spot. Jewell enjoyed a strong start, leading the first 37 laps of the race, even surviving a couple of early restarts. However, his grasp on the lead was short-lived as Todd Liston managed to overtake him.

Liston’s opportunity came when Jewell encountered a slight hiccup, resulting in a loose moment that allowed Liston to pounce and secure the lead. The transition into the second half of the race marked a notable increase in on-track aggression, with multiple cautions and several short green flag runs.

Meanwhile, Aiden Young had been silently but persistently making his way to the front of the pack. His journey was guided by a combination of well-executed maneuvers and a bit of good fortune, avoiding potential incidents that claimed many other fast drivers during the night, including the points leader, James Tiernan.

As the laps dwindled down, Jeffrey Hardin joined the contest for the lead, and after a few laps of spirited back-and-forth action, he took control. Yet, his time in the lead was brief, as Liston swiftly reclaimed the top spot following another restart, with Young right on his heels, moving past Hardin into second place.

The real battle for the lead occurred on lap 79, as Young began to mount a charge on the outside of Liston. However, a caution interrupted their duel, allowing Liston to hold onto the lead. It wasn’t until lap 93 that Aiden Young managed to make another move, getting under Liston to seize the lead for good.

From there, Young maintained his composure and fended off Liston, ultimately clinching his first victory of the season. With this win, Young is now tied for the points lead with Tiernan as the series heads into the next round at Concord Speedway, scheduled for October 20th.
