Round 4 of the BRL Late Model Invitational Series Season 24 took place at Concord Speedway. J R Shepherd was the dominant driver, leading all 100 laps and claiming the victory. Steven Spies finished in second place, while Austin Boelke fought hard to finish in third.

The race began with Stephen Spies and J R Shepherd starting in the front row. Spies had a good start and took the lead, but Shepherd quickly gained momentum and passed Spies in the first lap. The rest of the field had intense side-by-side racing, maneuvering through the tricky track. The race continued without any cautions until Lap 23 when a big wreck involving a good number of drivers occurred. The green flag racing resumed on Lap 28, with Shepherd and Spies back at the front row. Shortly after the restart, a spin on the front stretch on Lap 29 brought out a caution. The green flag racing resumed on Lap 35, with Shepherd and Spies still dominating at the front row. The race saw multiple cautions after that, on Laps 46, 58, 65, 85, 87, and 91. However, Shepherd maintained his lead throughout the race, leading all 100 laps to claim victory. Spies finished in second place, while Boelke fought hard to grab the final podium spot of third on Lap 56.

The race at Concord Speedway provided a lot of great racing, mostly with green flag racing for the first half of the race, and then with multiple cautions in the latter half. Nonetheless, the cautions provided some fortunate tire-cooling instances for drivers.

Fans can keep following the BRL Late Model action by tuning in to the next race at the Bullring in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 26th, at 8:55pm ET, presented by Gargamel’s Kitchen, and only on the Virtual Grip Network.
