BRL Late Model Invitational S30R06 | Myrtle Beach Speedway

The racing excitement of Season 30 Round 06 kicked off with Tre Blohm and Chriz Haizlip leading the pack at Myrtle Beach Speedway. The early stages of the race were marked by several cautions; however, the competitors found their rhythm by the restart at Lap 23. Amidst tense moments, Blohm maintained the lead with Jeffery Hardin trailing closely in second. The battle for third place raged on between Kurt Smith and John Wilson, culminating in Wilson surpassing Smith on Lap 25.

As the laps continued, James Lowe began to pressure Wilson for third place, successfully edging past him by Lap 28. Another caution waved on Lap 29, but by Lap 34, racing resumed with Blohm and Hardin still at the front. Blohm surged ahead while Lowe passed Hardin in turns 1 and 2, moving into second place. Wilson mounted an outside challenge against Hardin but ultimately found himself battling to retain his position. On Lap 36, Lowe made a decisive move to get inside Blohm and took over the lead.

After a period of tension leading to a caution on Lap 71, the race picked back up on Lap 75 with Lowe and Blohm leading again. Lowe exploded off the restart, while Hardin and Blohm fought for second. The intense showdown between Blohm, Chris Davis, and Ruben Altice ensued, as Brennan Myers stealthily gained ground to claim third place.

Caution returned on Lap 86, but when the race resumed on Lap 90, it set the stage for an epic showdown between Lowe and Myers. Lowe shot away from the field, while Davis fought hard against Myers for second place. Myers ultimately secured the position; however, he faced challenges as he brushed the wall with 98 laps remaining. This incident rekindled the battle for second as Davis and Myers raced side by side, ultimately resulting in Lowe clinching the victory with a solid one-second lead.

In a nail-biting finish, Myers narrowly edged out Davis to take second place, crossing the finish line just 0.02 seconds ahead. The podium for Season 30 Round 06 showcased James Lowe as the winner, marking his fifth consecutive victory, followed by Brennan Myers and Chris Davis, who rounded out the top three.

Race fans can look forward to more thrilling action next week, as the BRL Late Models head to The Bullring at Las Vegas on Saturday, May 10th, at 9:10pm ET.
