Mason Mitchum suffered the same fate, compounding the chaos of the cycle. For Klendworth, it was a championship-altering moment, transforming a potential podium into a recovery drive that ultimately netted a seventh-place finish.

With his closest rival neutralized, Taylor shifted from attack mode to control.
