BRL Late Model Invitational S28R04 | Oswego Speedway
Lowell Jewell and Jeffery Hardin brought the field to green for Season 28, Round 04 action at Oswego Speedway. Jewell surged ahead at the start, and Kurt Smith moved inside Hardin to claim 2nd place, leaving Hardin in 3rd. Chris Haizlip and Mike Holloway battled for 4th place, but Haizlip gained the advantage on the inside line.
Smith began to challenge Jewell for the lead, but a caution flag was waved just as Smith made his move on Lap 11. The field went green again on Lap 17, with Jewell getting a strong start and clearing Smith, who settled back into 2nd place. Hardin maintained 3rd, followed by Holloway in 4th. However, another caution on Lap 18 slowed the pace once more.
Racing resumed on Lap 24 with Jewell and Smith once again in the front. Jewell controlled the lead and had another good restart, but the leaders were involved in some delayed caution consequences, causing iRacing to award the lead to Hardin.
The restart occurred on Lap 30, with Hardin and Todd Liston at the front. Hardin started strong, but Liston quickly moved inside to take 2nd place. Allen Wannamaker lined up in 3rd. On Lap 63, Liston made a move to pass Hardin, seizing the lead. However, Hardin regained the lead on Lap 77 by moving inside Liston.
Liston attempted an over-under maneuver and got side by side with Hardin in turns 3 and 4, reclaiming the lead. But Hardin fought back, and they battled side by side on Lap 81, with Hardin once again taking the lead.
Wannamaker and John Wilson, now in third and fourth place, respectively, set their sights on Liston, looking for podium spots. Hardin then built a substantial lead of over 2.5 seconds, ultimately claiming victory in Season 28, Round 4. Wannamaker finished in second place, while Wilson rounded out the podium in third.

BRL Late Model Invitational S27R11 | Five Flags Speedway
On Championship Saturday, the Bootleg Racing League held their Season finale at Five Flags Speedway. Joe Segalla and Tom Hilbert led the field at the start of the race. Segalla pulled ahead, leaving Hilbert in second place. However, an early caution on Lap 2 paused the race. When the race resumed on Lap 8, Segalla kept his lead with Hilbert and Chris Haizlip battling for second. Another caution on Lap 10 momentarily stopped the race.
On Lap 16, Segalla led the field once again after a restart, with Hilbert securing second place and Todd Liston moving into third. The cycle of cautions continued, with the race pausing on Lap 24. As the race resumed on Lap 30, Segalla maintained his lead, with Liston and Hilbert vying for second place. Liston eventually took the lead on Lap 33.
Subsequent cautions on Lap 67 and Lap 79 interrupted the race, and on Lap 83, Liston and Scott Negus led the field. Liston held onto the lead, with Mark Hertzog and Jeffery Hardin securing second and third place, respectively. After another caution on Lap 90, Liston remained in the lead and crossed the finish line in first place, followed by Adam Schoen in second and Mike Holloway in third.
At the close of the race, John Wilson’s perseverance with a damaged car allowed him to gain enough spots to win the Season 27 Championship.
BRLβs next race will be next Saturday, September 21st, with two races in the ARCA car at Southern National Speedway. First up will be the Skitter Creek Qualifier at 7:40pm ET, a race that allows non-champions to race their way into the Stone River Shootout, which will start at 9:10pm ET.
Season 28 racing will resume September 28th at 8:55pm ET for round one racing at North Wilkesboro.

BRL Late Model Invitational S27R10 | Oswego Speedway
During Season 27 Round 10 at Oswego Speedway, the BRL’s first race at the venue, Tom Hilbert and Jeffery Hardin claimed the front row at the start. Hilbert took an early lead, but a slow start from Hardin allowed Donny Moore to seize the opportunity and also enabled Wilson to overtake Hardin. However, a caution on lap 2 brought the race to a temporary halt. Resuming on Lap 5, Hilbert and Moore led the pack. Hilbert managed a strong restart, while Wilson attempted to pass Moore for second place without success. At the same time, Hardin made an effort to overtake Moore for third but ultimately settled for 4th place. On Lap 35, Wilson succeeded in passing Hilbert to take the lead, with Hardin also managing to get past Hilbert to secure 2nd place.
Another caution emerged on Lap 62, and following the restart on Lap 68, Wilson promptly regained the lead, with Stephen Spies moving into 2nd place ahead of Hardin. Todd Liston also made a move to secure 3rd place. The battle for 4th place was fierce between Scott Negus and Joseph Snyder, with Negus ultimately emerging in 4th. On Lap 77, Spies claimed the lead from Wilson, and Liston swiftly secured 2nd place. Wilson found himself relegated to 3rd place.
The action continued with another caution on Lap 88, and when the race resumed on Lap 93, Spies and Wilson were at the front. Spies retained the lead, while Ruben Altice engaged in a side-by-side battle with Wilson to capture 2nd place. Negus then overtook Wilson to secure 3rd place and subsequently passed Altice to secure 2nd place on Lap 97. Another caution on Lap 98 set the stage for a gripping Green-White-Checker restart. Spies and Negus led the restart, with Spies maintaining the lead, but Negus ultimately secured 2nd place. Altice valiantly held onto 3rd place despite the challenge.
In a thrilling conclusion, Negus gained momentum and overtook Spies on the inside on the final lap to claim victory. Stephen Spies finished 2nd, and Ruben Altice finished a commendable 3rd.

BRL Late Model Invitational S27R08 | New Smyrna Speedway
In the Season 27 Round 08 Late Model race at New Smyrna Speedway, all eyes were on Donny Moore and Todd Liston as they led the field to the green flag. Moore quickly took the lead, with Joseph Snyder making a bold move to slip past Liston and secure the 2nd position after some intense racing. However, a collision between Liston, Kurt Smith, and Tom Hilbert caused Liston to lose momentum and gave Snyder the opportunity to claim 2nd place, triggering a caution.
The race resumed on Lap 9, with Moore and Snyder battling for the lead. Moore managed to maintain his position at the front, but Snyder relentlessly fought on the outside, eventually overtaking Liston for second place. By Lap 12, the field had settled into single-file formation, but the intensity of the race was far from over.
On Lap 19, John Wilson initiated a thrilling battle with Joe Segalla for 5th place, showcasing impressive maneuvering skills. Wilson’s persistence paid off as he successfully secured the position after an intense duel. As the race progressed, Liston made a skillful move to pass Snyder on Lap 30, with Tre Blohm closely tailing in 4th position. The top four drivers pulled ahead, creating an enthralling spectacle on the track.
Liston applied immense pressure on Moore, exploring every possible line to gain the lead. Finally, on Lap 51, Liston made a daring move to overtake Moore, setting the stage for a captivating battle at the front. Meanwhile, Wilson demonstrated his prowess by making impressive outside passes, securing 4th place by overtaking Blohm on Lap 54.
Snyder showcased his tenacity by making a bold move to pass Moore on Lap 56, intensifying the competition at the front of the pack. As the race progressed, Snyder began challenging Liston for the lead, with the anticipation reaching a fever pitch as the drivers navigated through tire wear and lapped traffic.
By Lap 93, after a series of thrilling exchanges, Snyder finally seized the lead. Wilson and Adam Schoen capitalized on the intense competition to secure podium positions. The checkered flag waved as Joseph Snyder triumphantly claimed victory, with John Wilson closely trailing in second place and Adam Schoen securing third place.

BRL Late Model Invitational S27R07 | Myrtle Beach Speedway
Round 7 of Season 27 at Myrtle Beach Speedway kicked off with John Heyn and Tom Hilbert leading the pack. Heyn made a bold move to surpass Hilbert for the lead on the first lap. Jeffery Hardin quickly swooped into second place, but their progress was interrupted by an early caution. Racing resumed with Heyn and Hardin dominating the front. Heyn managed to create a gap, while Hardin fiercely fought to maintain his position. However, a major wreck in turn 2 led to another caution. The race restarted with Heyn and Hardin still at the forefront. Despite Heyn’s persistent lead, Hardin executed a pass on lap 16, securing the lead with Ruben Altice closely following in second place. A caution on lap 20 halted the race again, but once it resumed, Hardin and Altice continued to lead. Meanwhile, Heyn battled with Jason Menda for 3rd place. The race saw another caution on lap 47, with Hardin and Altice still leading the pack. Throughout the first half of the race, Altice consistently pressured Hardin and they began to distance themselves from the rest of the field. Another caution on lap 66 paused the action, but once it resumed, Hardin and Altice remained in control. Hardin held onto the lead, while Altice fiercely defended his second position. Meanwhile, Wilson managed to overtake Heyn, securing 3rd place. On lap 93, Wilson made an attempt to pass Altice for 2nd place, but Altice skillfully maintained the position. The race witnessed yet another caution on lap 95, leading to a Green-White-Checker restart. As the action resumed, Hardin and Altice retained their lead. Hardin surged ahead, with Altice in hot pursuit. Heyn and Wilson engaged in a fierce battle for 3rd place, while Liston and Negus fought for 5th place. In the end, Hardin clinched the checkered flag for Season 27 Round 7, with Ruben Altice claiming 2nd place and John Wilson securing 3rd place.

BRL Late Model Invitational S27R06 | Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway
Round 6 of Season 27 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway began with John Heyn and Todd Liston leading the field to green. Liston initially surged ahead on the front stretch on the outside but Heyn skillfully maneuvered into turn 1 to keep the lead on the start. Joseph Snyder held third place after the start. Liston made a bold move on Lap 5 to overtake Heyn, with Snyder closely following to secure second place. The race mainly saw single-file racing with intermittent battles for positions until Lap 25, when the first caution of the race was called.
After the restart on Lap 30, Liston had a strong start, leaving Snyder to contend with Heyn for second place. Snyder managed to secure second, and Heyn settled for third. Behind them, Lowell Jewell and Bruce Pearson raced side by side, with Pearson taking fourth place. A wreck on Lap 35 brought out the second caution of the race.
The racing resumed on Lap 40, with Liston and Snyder leading the pack. Liston once again took the lead, with Snyder in second. Heyn remained in third, and Pearson and Holloway battled for fourth. Another caution on Lap 41 halted the battle.
After the restart on Lap 47, Liston and Snyder had a strong start. Pearson and Holloway vied for fourth place, but another caution came out on Lap 48. Racing resumed on Lap 53, and Liston and Snyder maintained their positions at the front of the pack. Schoen overtook Snyder for second place, while Smith joined the mix due to the battle. The race eventually settled into single file. Schoen made his move on Lap 81, passing Liston for the lead on Lap 82. On Lap 92, Holloway passed Heyn for third place. A caution on Lap 94 paused the race once again.
The race resumed on Lap 100 for a Green-White-Checker restart with Schoen and Snyder in the lead. Schoen and Snyder had a strong start, but Smith made a significant run on the outside, taking second place. Holloway attempted to pass Snyder on the outside but was unable to complete the move. In the end, Adam Schoen emerged as the winner of Season 27 Round 6 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, with Kurt Smith finishing in second and Joseph Snyder rounding out the podium in third.

Jewell had a strong start but went a bit high off turn two, allowing Chris Haizlip to briefly take the lead before Snyder swiftly raced back up to reclaim the lead. A major collision occurred on Lap 8, prompting the caution. Racing resumed on Lap 14 with Snyder and Haizlip on the front row, and Snyder maintained the lead with Haizlip settling into 2nd. Jewell managed to overtake Haizlip and secure 2nd place by making a move inside on turn 3. On Lap 18, Liston passed Wilson for 3rd. Another caution was issued on Lap 28. Racing resumed on Lap 35 with Snyder and Liston leading the pack. They battled side by side, and although Snyder managed to maintain the lead, they collided on Lap 38, leading to another caution. Racing resumed on Lap 42 with Mike Holloway and Kurt Smith at the front. Holloway retained the lead, and Wilson attempted to pass Smith for 2nd. Wilson then vied for and secured the lead, surpassing Holloway on Lap 46. By Lap 49, the field had settled down, with the top three drivers separating from the rest by about a second. On Lap 67, Holloway engaged in a battle for 1st place with Wilson and ultimately secured the lead. Blohm also made a move, passing Wilson for 2nd, while Wilson settled for 3rd. Another caution was called on Lap 72. Racing resumed on Lap 77 with Holloway and Blohm in the lead. Holloway made a good start, and Blohm tucked into 2nd before making a thrilling move inside Holloway into turn 1 on the restart. They raced side by side down the backstretch, with Blohm finally securing the lead. However, Holloway reclaimed the lead on Lap 82, with Wilson passing Blohm for 2nd and Smith taking 3rd position from Blohm. Mike Holloway clinched the lead to secure back-to-back Late Model victories in Season 27, with John Wilson taking 2nd place and Kurt Smith finishing 3rd.

BRL Late Model Invitational S27R04 | Slinger Speedway
Mike Holloway and Joe Segalla led the field to the green flag. There was some contact at the start that almost caused a caution, but the drivers were able to continue without stopping. Holloway secured the lead from Segalla. The first caution occurred on lap 11. Racing resumed on Lap 17 with Holloway and Segalla still leading the pack. On the restart, Holloway did not manage to clear Segalla, who stayed strong on the outside. Eventually, Holloway secured the lead, and Bruce Pearson followed to take 2nd place. On Lap 21, Tom Hilbert battled Segalla to take 3rd. By Lap 28, the whole field was single file, but Todd Liston was putting pressure on Tom Hilbert and made an inside pass on Lap 30. Liston then made another inside move on Pearson to take 2nd place on Lap 34. By lap 36, Holloway had a 3-second lead on the field. Stephen Spies and Kurt Smith worked their way up the field as they passed Segalla for 4th and 5th place, respectively. The caution came out on Lap 60. Racing resumed on Lap 66 with Holloway and Liston in the lead. Spies pressured Holloway on the restart and took 2nd place from Liston. Brennan Myers and Kurt Smith battled side by side on Lap 70 for a few laps before Myers completed the pass for 5th place. Spies started putting pressure on Holloway on Lap 73, but the caution came out in Lap 74. Racing resumed on Lap 80 with Holloway and Spies on the front row. They raced side by side into turns 1 and 2, and Spies managed to get a great drive on the backstretch to try to take the lead, but they continued to race side by side for a couple of laps before Holloway was able to secure the lead. He then attempted the crossover move right across Listonβs nose, but wasnβt able to make it work against Holloway. In the end, Mike Holloway won Season 27 Round 4 race at Slinger, with Stephen Spies taking 2nd place and Brennan Myers taking 3rd place.

BRL Late Model Invitational S26R11 | Five Flags Speedway
The round 11 action at Five Flags Speedway was a nail-biting affair, with the championship up for grabs by anyone in the top 5 of the point standings. The race was about to take a dramatic turn, reshuffling the standings and crowning a new champion.
Donny Moore and Adam Schoen lead the field to green for the βDo Good to End ALZ 100β. The front row started a little slow, getting the field racked up for a second, and John Wilson jumped past Tom Hilbert for 3rd. On the top side, Jeffrey Hardin passes Hilbert as well for 4th and we went three wide into Turn 3! On Lap 12, Hardin and Liston passed Wilson for 3rd and 4th respectively. Liston moved into 3rd, and also 2nd on Lap 18, but Donny Moore had a 2.5-second lead at the time. Caution on Lap 28. Racing resumed on Lap 33 with Moore and Todd Liston up front, and Moore got a great start, allowing Schoen to follow underneath for 2nd, but Liston was not giving up 2nd on the outside, and they battled hard side by side before Schoen claimed 2nd. Scott Negus also made the inside pass on Liston for 3rd, but then Liston changed lanes to the inside and began battling back with Negus for 3rd.
On Lap 41, Schoen started challenging Moore for 1st, peaking inside and outside, trying to get around Moore and getting inside of Moore in Turn 3 on Lap 45, and they are side by side at the finish line and into turns 1 and 2, but Schoen makes the pass for the lead. Liston, following Schoen, also takes 2nd from Moore, and Negus throws his hat in the battle for 3rd. Negus started challenging Liston on Lap 52 for 2nd. They battle side by side for a few laps before Negus claims 2nd, and then Negus battles Schoen for the lead. He goes inside of Schoen on Lap 56, turns 1, and gets alongside him. He completes the pass for the lead on Lap 57. Hardin now challenging Schoen for 2nd and makes that pass. Points leader John Wilson was also able to pass Schoen for 3rd. On Lap 70, caution occurs, affecting the points leader John Wilson and causing some late-race drama on the championship standings! Racing resumed on Lap 76 with Negus and Hardin in front. Negus gets a great start, and Hardin is able to settle in 2nd. Lowell Jewell and Kurt Smith race side by side for 3rd, and Jewell completes the pass for 3rd. Smith came back on Lap 83 to challenge Jewell and took 3rd back. As the white flag flies, Negus is in 1st with a 1.7-second lead, Smith is in 2nd with a 0.5-second lead on 3rd, and Holloway is in 3rd, and they finish that way with Negus collecting his first win in BRL! With the drama unfurling during the race, Joseph Snyder claims the Season 26 Championship over John Wilson by 1 point!

The roar of engines fills the air as the Hilbert Brothers, Steve and Tom, lead the charge to the green flag for Round 10 at North Wilkesboro Speedway! The tension is palpable as the racers jostle for position, hungry for victory. Steve Hilbert blasts off the line, but his brother Tom finds himself under attack from the relentless Jason Menda, who dives low in turns 1 and 2, forcing Tom high and seizing second place in a daring move!
Meanwhile, Todd Liston isn’t content to sit back; he’s locked in a fierce battle with Tom, eager to snatch third place from the Hilbert siblings. But Menda isn’t satisfied with second – he sets his sights on the lead, making his move on Lap 2 to rocket past Steve and into the top spot! Liston, riding Menda’s coattails, charges into second place, leaving the Hilbert brothers in his wake.
