BRL Late Model Invitational S30R09 | Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway
In an exhilarating Season 30 Round 09 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, Jeffery Kemper and Chris Haizlip led the pack to the green flag. Kemper quickly surged ahead, while Haizlip defended his position from Brennan Myers to maintain second place as Myers slotted into third. The first caution appeared on lap 1.
Racing resumed on lap 6 with Kemper and Haizlip still at the front. Kemper seized the lead again, facing a determined Myers who tried to overtake Haizlip for second. However, Haizlip regained his momentum and reclaimed second spot before another caution on lap 7.
When the race resumed on lap 12, Kemper and Haizlip retained their positions as Myers attempted another inside move on Haizlip, but the latter held his ground on the high line to keep second place. Meanwhile, on lap 16, Todd Liston entered the fray, overtaking Myers for third position. By lap 19, Liston pressed on and took second from Haizlip, while Myers regained third on lap 20.
Liston established his prowess on lap 22 by taking the lead from Kemper utilizing the outside line. A caution came out on lap 23, but racing resumed on lap 28 with Liston and Kemper now leading the pack. Liston unleashed a powerful start as Myers and Kemper battled for second, but another caution interrupted their duel on lap 28.
After the restart on lap 33, Liston showcased another strong performance, while Kemper struggled momentarily, allowing Myers to briefly take the lead into the backstretch. Kemper, however, fought back, but lost the second position to Myers. On lap 36, Adam Schoen joined the battle for third, ultimately securing the spot from Kemper.
With a caution on lap 44, the race continued on lap 48 with Liston and Myers at the forefront. Liston launched away from the start, while Myers defended his position from Ruben Altice. Altice successfully engaged in a fierce battle with Schoen for third and then focused on Myers, gaining ground on lap 50 as they battled for second place.
On lap 52, Altice overtook Myers for second, while Liston expanded his lead to half a second. As the race approached its conclusion, Altice mounted pressure on Liston but couldn’t mount a challenge for the lead. Ultimately, Jeffery Kemper secured victory in Season 30 Round 09, with Ruben Altice taking second and Brennan Myers finishing third.

YYR Tour Modified Series S2R6 | Thompson Speedway
In an exhilarating showdown at Thompson Speedway, Ken Allen and Jeff Lemire kicked off the YesterYear Tour Modified Series Connecticut 100 for Season 2 Round 6. Allen surged ahead at the start, allowing Tom Ogle to slip into second place, overtaking Lemire. The first caution waved on Lap 3 and the race resumed on Lap 8, with Allen maintaining his lead during a single-file restart. Pressure was mounting on Lemire from Bianchi, unable to make the pass for third.
As the laps progressed, another caution on Lap 15 halted the action, but racing resumed on Lap 20 with Allen once again leading the pack. The restart maintained a single-file formation, but another caution on Lap 29 forced another interruption. Racing resumed on Lap 33, but Allen’s late restart allowed Ogle to close in, running a lower line but unable to match Allen’s speed on the straights.
Caution reappeared on Lap 44, but Allen held strong at the front again on the restart from Lap 48. Another late restart from Allen allowed Ogle to dive inside on the backstretch, with Allen initially holding position at the line. However, a slip into the marbles cost him valuable spots, dropping him to fifth, while Ogle emerged as the new leader, with Bianchi and Lemire following in second and third.
By Lap 58, Ogle extended his lead to 1.5 seconds. The race saw yet another caution on Lap 63, which was quickly followed by Ogle asserting dominance at the front once more on Lap 67. A brief challenge from Bianchi saw the gap close to 0.5 seconds before Ogle got loose, letting Bianchi cut the distance to just 0.2 seconds on Lap 73, ramping up the pressure.
With only 14 laps to go, the action intensified. After another caution, the race resumed with only 9 laps left, with Ogle still in front. Bianchi, utilizing the lower line, crept up close to Ogle, and as the white flag waved with two laps remaining, he was right on Ogleās tail, looking for a way past.
In a thrilling finish, Tom Ogle crossed the finish line first to claim victory at the Season 2 Round 6 of the Tour Modified Series at Thompson Speedway. Behind him, Brian Bianchi secured second place, while Jeff Lemire rounded out the top three.

Maximum Velocity Racing League | Season 1 | Round 9

Monday night, May 26th, the Maximum Velocity Racing League rolled into New Hampshire Motor Speedway to celebrate Memorial Day with a wild one ā Race 9 of Season 1 in the MVRL ARCA Series.
James Lehman fired off from the pole with a lap of 30.033 seconds, joined on the front row by Heath Smith. Behind them, the top six ā including Justin Michael, Scott Patten, Aiden Young, and Zack Saunders ā would end up trading paint and positions all night long.
As has been the story of the season, cautions were plentiful as drivers battled loose-handling race cars, especially on corner exit. Lehman led early but on lap 17, Michael dove deep to the inside in turn 1, drifted up into Lehman, and the two made heavy contact. Both recovered, but the pace was gone ā and Smith took full advantage, snatching the lead.
Lehman managed to stay near the podium while Michael faded to seventh. As the cautions continued to shuffle the deck, Young got sent hard into the inside wall on lap 24, ending his night early. Meanwhile, Smith kept command out front with Saunders, Michael, Patten, and Howell all clawing toward the front.
Under caution on lap 38, Lehman made a bold decision ā he hit pit road for fresh tires and repairs, dropping all the way back to 25th. But it was the right call. As racing resumed, Lehman carved through traffic, passing cars two and three at a time.
Up front, Smith came under fire from Patten and Saunders. With 26 laps to go, Patten went low for the lead. Smith slipped up out of turn 4 and scraped the wall ā and both Patten and Saunders flew by.
Then the race turned chaotic.
With just over 10 to go, Charlie Widner grabbed the lead briefly before things exploded into a four-wide fight through turns 3 and 4 ā Saunders, Patten, Widner, and a surging Lehman all going for it. Lehman wisely backed out, but Saunders came out of the dust with the lead.
With 6 to go, the final restart set the stage for a classic duel. Lehman launched an immediate attack, and the two leaders began trading slide jobs lap after lap. Coming to the white flag, Lehman had the lead. But off turn 2, Saunders crossed him over.
They went door-to-door through 3 and 4, Saunders got loose on corner exit, and the two drag-raced to the line. It was Saunders by just 0.008 seconds in a photo finish.

YesterYear Cup Series | Charlotte Motor Speedway
Sunday night, May 25th, the Old Bastards Racing League, presented by VCTRYLNSPRTS, brought the thunder to Charlotte Motor Speedway for a special Memorial Day Weekend showdownāRound 13 of Season 8 in the YesterYear Racing Cup Series.
Cortney Nelson earned the pole with a fast lap of 29.758 seconds, and lined up alongside defending series champion Josh Robinson. From the drop of the green, the race was a showcase of high-speed, multi-groove action. Charlotte offered plenty of room for side-by-side racing, and the drivers took full advantage.
Nelson led the first 12 laps before Robinson surged around the top, using the momentum off the high side to claim the lead. But that lead was short-livedāLloyd Moore quickly moved in and took over the top spot, stretching out a small but significant gap over the field. Dwayne McArthur and Tom Ogle stayed in hot pursuit while the first caution flew on lap 26 after contact between Nelson and Bryan Lindsey.
On the ensuing pit stop, Scott Negus rolled the dice with a two-tire call and took over the race lead. But that strategy didnāt holdāNegus faded fast, and Moore reclaimed the top spot just a few laps later. A second quick caution allowed Negus to pit for the other two tires, but from that point on, it was all about long-run speed.
As expected from the OBRL, the race went green for the final 123 laps. Moore held the point for a while, but this time around, McArthur wasnāt letting him breathe. By lap 64, Ogle made his moveātaking the lead from Moore with a strong inside run through turns 3 and 4. Moore tried to fight back, but McArthur was already slicing up the outside, shuffling Moore back to third.
On lap 69, McArthur passed Ogle and took command of the race just before green flag pit stops began to loom. Around lap 85, drivers started cycling through pit road, and once the shuffle settled by lap 105, McArthur led againābut Robinson was coming.
Lap after lap, Robinson chipped away at the gap. And when McArthur and Ogle resumed their duel for the lead, Robinson was right there to pounce. He took the lead on lap 126 and began to pull away with just over 30 laps to go. But McArthur wasnāt done.
In the final five laps, McArthur reeled in Robinson, staying glued to his bumper and searching for a way through. Then, in the final corner of the final lap, McArthur arced his entry into turn three, shot off the exit of four, and edged ahead at the stripeātaking the win by just 0.056 seconds in one of the closest finishes of the season.
The OBRL YesterYear Racing Cup Series returns next Sunday, June 1st, from Nashville Superspeedway with the green flag scheduled for 8:00PM Eastern, live only on the Virtual Grip Network.

The first race of season 14 for Red Light Racingās Skitter Creek SK Modified series was an event with some rare occurrences. First, it wasnāt an SK Modifieds race. The drivers instead got a chance to climb into the SKās big brother ā the Whelen Tour Modifieds. This put at their disposal 600+ horsepower compared with the normal 385 horsepower in the SKs. Another rarity ā the event was held on a track 1 mile in length, that being, Phoenix Raceway, rather than the ānormalā truly short tracks the series visits.
Another rarity ā last seasonās dominator and Champion, Eric Stout, led the most laps of the race (51) but didnāt take home the checkered flag. Fellow frequently fast driver Jeff Aho led 29 laps but also didnāt take home the win. In the end, it was the driver that led the third most laps, and series newcomer, Bill Benedict, that claimed the checkered flag. Benedict led 6 of the Green-White-Checkered extended 94 lap event. Fellow series newcomer, and the eventās pole-sitter, Eric Troutman led four laps, as did Josh Buckley.
Troutman claimed the pole with a 27.251 second qualifying lap, besting Chad Alcares by just 0.066 seconds for the pole. Stout, Brian Bianchi, and yet another series newcomer, Louis Flowers, rounded out the top five in qualifying.
Despite Stout and Aho leading 85% of the events laps, there were several entertaining battles for the lead, indeed there were quality battles throughout the field, during the course of the race. The ultimate battle for the lead reached a crescendo when Benedict and Stout were side-by-side on lap 89 after a restart. Benedict was ever so slightly ahead of Stout when the yellow came out after Josh Buckley and Chris Oliver tangled on the back stretch. Benedict chose the preferred inside line on the green-white-checker restart and held on to win as a first time driver in the series. In the end, Fred LeClair took home second after starting 12th on the field. Stout slid to 3rd to round out the podium. The rest of the top five finishers were pole-sitter Troutman, who finished fourth, and TJ Henson who gained one spot from his sixth place starting position to finish fifth.
The race was slowed by six cautions for a total of 18 laps. Fred LeClair turned the fastest lap, finishing the last lap of the race in 27.186 seconds. Only 3 of the 23 drivers finished the event without incident points. Those were: LeClair, Glenn Jamieson (finished 6th) and Adin All-Vecchione (finished 8th). Jamiesonās clean run was especially impressive as he also was the Hard Charger of the race, picking up 16 spots from his 22nd place qualifying position.
This being just the first race of the season, the top five in the run for the championship mirrors the raceās finishing order. With Stout garnering one more bonus point than LeClair did, Stout and LeClair are tied for second in the early point standings. Troutman and Jamieson are 6 and 7 points, respectively, outside of the top points position.
The second race of the season will be contested at rather circular Oxford Plains Speedway. The green flag will drop at 7:55 PM Eastern on May 29th. Catch all the action LIVE on Virtual Grip Network.
YYR Tour Modified Series S2R5 | Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway
In an exhilarating showdown at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, Darryl Wineinger claimed victory in Season 2 Round 05 of the YesterYear Tour Modified Series, fending off fierce competition from Tom Ogle.
As the race commenced, Ogle swiftly moved around Wineinger to take the lead on the very first lap, with Wineinger settling into a solid second place. A caution came out on Lap 2, but racing resumed on Lap 7 with Ogle still at the front.
Under pressure from Scott Negus, who was in third, both Ogle and Wineinger pulled away from the pack. The dynamic shifted on Lap 15 when Wineinger discovered an opening, seizing the lead on Lap 16. However, Ogle was not to be outdone; he retaliated on Lap 19 and regained the lead.
As the laps ticked down, a caution on Lap 22 prompted a single file restart on Lap 27 with Ogle still leading. Lapped traffic became a critical factor by Lap 47 as Wineinger began to catch up to Ogle. An attempted move by Wineinger on Lap 72 saw him momentarily losing momentum, but he remained persistent.
With just 18 laps remaining, Wineinger executed a strategic move using a lap car as a pick and was credited with the lead when a caution waved on Lap 83. Under caution with 15 laps to go, all drivers opted for a quick pit stop, with Wineinger narrowly emerging at the front as racing resumed with 12 laps left.
By this point, he had a 1.2-second gap over Ogle, who was trying to mount a challenge. Ogle’s attempt on the backstretch in the final laps fell short as Wineinger maintained his momentum and drive off the corners. In a nail-biting finish, Wineinger held onto his lead, crossing the finish line ahead of Ogle by a car length, while Ken Allen rounded out the podium in third.
This race not only showcased the drivers’ skill but also the intense battle for position, making it a memorable event in the series!

Monday, May 19th, the Maximum Velocity Racing Leagueās ARCA Series brought the action to Iowa Speedway for Round 8, and for the first time in weeks, we saw long green flag runs that let tire wear and race strategy shine.
Scott Patten started on the pole with a 22.857 and dominated the early stages, holding off Heath Smith to win the stage at lap 37 and snag 10 critical bonus points. After pit stops under the stage break, new challengers like Charlie Widner and Michael Milfelt stepped up, but no one could crack Pattenās control of the raceāuntil disaster struck.
Under a lap 58 caution, while slowing for the pace car, Patten was rear-ended hard, taking significant damage that ended his night early in a shocking turn of events.
That opened the door for Rob Haynes, but a missed shift on the restart dropped him out of contention as Milfelt and then Widner took turns at the front. Widner used a quick crossover move to grab the lead on lap 69 and wouldnāt give it up without a fight.
Meanwhile, Justin Michael, who had started deep in the field and suffered a late speeding penalty, made a furious charge back through traffic, slicing his way forward in the final 20 laps.
In a green-white-checkered finish, Michael got to Widnerās bumper and tried to dive under him multiple times, but Widner defended perfectly and held on to take the win at Iowaāhis 2nd of the season and a big one in the championship fight.
The MVRL ARCA Series heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway next Monday, May 26th, with the action going live at 9:30PM ET, only on the Virtual Grip Network.
BRL Late Model Invitational S30R08 | Southern National Speedway
In Season 30 Round 08 at Southern National Speedway, the race commenced with Chris Haizlip and Steve Hilbert leading the field to green. Haizlip quickly gained ground, pulling ahead down the backstretch as Kurt Smith maneuvered past Hilbert for second place. Mike Holloway then engaged Haizlip in battle, successfully completing the pass for third on Lap 5.
As the race progressed to Lap 8, the drivers settled into a single-file formation, with Haizlip maintaining a narrow half-second lead over Smith. However, Holloway drifted high, allowing Bruce Pearson to slip into third place. By Lap 23, Smith caught up to Haizlip, overtaking him to take the lead, while both drivers created a two-second gap ahead of Pearson.
James Lowe made his move on Lap 31, passing Pearson for third. By Lap 41, Lowe had closed in on Haizlip, aggressively attacking and, on Lap 44, succeeded in moving alongside him. By Lap 45, Lowe claimed second place, bringing Todd Liston into the mix to pass Haizlip for third. At Lap 46, Smith held a 2.2-second lead over Lowe, who began to close the gap significantly by Lap 74, reducing it to a mere .2 seconds and setting up an intense battle for the top spot.
With 18 laps remaining, John Wilson edged past Liston for third, and the lead battle intensified as the laps wound down. 14 laps to go saw Lowe dive under Smith, forcing a thrilling three-wide battle for the lead with a lapped car. They bumped as they crossed the finish line deadlocked with 11 laps left. Smith surged ahead on the backstretch, reclaiming the lead from the outside, and they continued to trade positions.
On Lap 97, the tension peaked when Lowe attempted another underneath move, causing contact as they exited Turn 4, resulting in the first caution of the night. The race then reset for a Green-White-Checker finish, featuring Wilson and Liston in the front row. Wilson capitalized on the restart, clearing Liston for second while Lowell Jewell moved into third as they entered the final lap.
In a thrilling finale, John Wilson crossed the finish line first, securing victory in Season 30 Round 08, with Todd Liston finishing second and Lowell Jewell taking third.
Looking ahead, BRL will take a break for Memorial Day weekend and return with just three races left on May 31st at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway at 9:10pm ET.

Outlaw Modified Series | Southern National Motorsports Park
Saturday, May 17th, the Bootleg Racing Leagueās Outlaw SK Modified Invitational Series rolled into Southern National Motorsports Park for Round 8 of Season 39, and with James Lowe all but crowned champion already, the rest of the field was fighting for prideāand a shot at a race win.
Steve Hilbert started on pole with his brother Tom Hilbert alongside, but it was Kurt Smith wasting no time moving up from third to take the early lead. Bobby Hayes followed him through to second as both Hilberts got shuffled to the high side and faded back.
By lap 24, Lowe made his presence knownāblasting from third to the lead in one move around Smith and John Wilson. Ruben Altice tried to mount a challenge, but Lowe was in a class of his own.
With a small 11-car field, most of the night ran clean and uneventful, single file, and Lowe cruised to his fourth win of the seasonācrossing the line a dominant four seconds ahead of the field.
The most excitement came behind him on the final lap as Altice and Brennan Myers battled for second. Coming off the last corner, both drivers got loose, but Altice edged Myers at the line to steal the runner-up spot in a photo finish.
The series takes a break for Memorial Day Weekend and returns on Saturday, May 31st, from Nashville Fairgrounds Speedwayālive at 7:40PM ET, only on the Virtual Grip Network.

Maximum Velocity Racing League | Season 1 | Round 7

Monday night, May 12th, the Maximum Velocity Racing Leagueās ARCA Series rolled into Chicagoland Speedway for Round 7 of Season 1, and once again, the night was packed with chaos, cautions, and controversy.
Aiden Young led the field to green after nabbing the pole with a time of 30.613, flanked by Tuffy Casey on the front row. The opening laps were a high-speed brawl with drivers going three and four wide, exploring every inch of Chicagolandās multi-groove surface. Frequent early cautions kept the field tightly packed and strategy options open, though most drivers mirrored the leaders on pit road.
The midpoint of the race brought drama as Raul Alvis powered his way to the front, trailed by points leader Justin Michael. But things escalated quicklyāAlvis aggressively pinched Michael to the apron heading into Turn 1, forcing Michael to fight back. A series of door slams ended with Alvis spinning into the path of Math Montambault, ending both of their nights in spectacular fashion and clearing the path for others to contend.
With the wreckfest out of the way, the field finally settled into a 20-lap green flag run to the finish. Michael Milfelt inherited the lead and held off James Lehman, who threw everything he had at the high line. Brad Slagle and a hard-charging Aiden Young added to the mix in the closing laps. The top four broke away, dicing for position right down to the checkered.
Milfelt held on to secure his first win of the season, while Lehman crossed the line second but was disqualified due to contact in the final laps. That handed Scott Patten second and Young third in the official results.
With Justin Michael having a rough night, Charlie Widner now takes over the points lead by just two points heading into next week.
The MVRL ARCA Series returns next Monday night from Iowa Speedway, with the action going live at 9:30PM ET, only on the Virtual Grip Network.
