Bootleg Racing League | Season 9 | Round 1
Dirt Street Stock Series | Eldora Speedway
Brandyn Proudfoot made a strong start for the 9th Season of the Bootleg Racing League’s Dirt Street Stock Series by starting on the pole with a qualifying time of 19.242 and securing the win over Johnny Ratley and Stephen Spies.
Proudfoot never had a comfortable lead over Ratley and was under constant pressure to make no mistakes over the 40 lap event. Billy Northcutt beat out Chris Davis for 4th place in the end after an intense battle spanning several laps of trading sliders turn after turn all the way to the finish line.
Asked about holding his championship title against the growing list of direct competitors, Proudfoot said, “The past 3 seasons we had Billy (Northcutt) come along, then we had William (Hargreaves) and now we have Johnny (Ratley).” He continued, “It’s difficult, it’s 2 wide racing and it’s really anybody’s game. It’s just about who can figure it out.”
