Pretty Good Racing League | Season 5 | Round 7
Premier Series | Atlanta Motor Speedway

Justin Rector, representing I Am Racing, celebrated a well-deserved victory tonight at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the We Like What We’re Seeing 200, a captivating event in the Pretty Good Racing League Premier Series presented by GamingGuyL on Twitch. The race commenced with Ryan Rose leading the pack from the pole position, while Rector started further back in 13th place.

However, Rose quickly lost the lead on the opening lap as Aaron Bean and Michael Chrobok maneuvered past him on the high side. Throughout the race, the running order constantly shuffled, with drivers fiercely battling for position. The effectiveness of the high and low lines depended on the coordination and teamwork of the drivers within each group.

During the final pit cycle under a caution period on lap 77, drivers strategically maximized their fuel capacity to ensure they could complete the 130-lap race. As the event progressed, a distinct separation formed within the field, with Jonathon Cogswell, Will Farmer, and Justin Rector emerging as the leaders. Chrobok led the remaining drivers, who exercised caution and were unsure about the fuel window. Unfortunately, the second pack waited too long to make their move, leaving them unable to catch up to the leaders before Rector triumphantly crossed the finish line.

With this victory, Rector demonstrated his skill and determination, further solidifying his presence in the championship hunt. Meanwhile, Jeff Ward assumed the lead in the point standings, holding a 14-point advantage over Michael Chrobok. Colton Salek, absent from tonight’s race, dropped to third place, trailing the leader by 75 points.

The upcoming race, the Loose is Fast Podcast 150, is set to take place on July 18th at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Fans can anticipate another thrilling showdown as drivers showcase their prowess on the track. Don’t miss the live broadcast at 8:55 PM ET, exclusively on the Virtual Grip Network.
