Brandyn Proudfoot with Jim Beaver eSports took the checkered flag tonight in the Bootleg Racing League Dirt Street Stock Series at Kokomo Speedway ahead of Adam Carlisle and William Hargreaves. “The secret for me tonight was using the complete width of the track The high line is usually where the grips at… tonight was a little bit of the middle.”, Proudfoot shared with us at the end of the night, “While both lines maybe seemed appealing the most important thing whenever it comes to these street stocks is carrying your momentum.”

Zachary Loomis had the fastest 4-lap average of the 21 drivers in qualifying with a time at 14.927 and led the first heat to take the green flag with Brandyn Proudfoot to his outside. Proudfoot was able to get beneath Loomis halfway through the run and secured the lead to take the checkered flag in the end. Adam Carlisle led out the 2nd heat of the night alongside William Hargreaves. Hargreaves was able to take the lead quickly after the start, but Carlisle fought back reclaiming the lead as the white flag came out. Side by side out of the final corner, Hargreaves had a nose ahead to take the win by 0.050 at the line. Billy Northcutt and J R Shepherd sat on the front row as the 3rd and final heat took the green flag. Shepherd stayed with Northcutt off the jump and the 2 drivers battled side by side around every lap with Northcutt crossing the line first by 0.040.

Chris Davis led the C Main consolation out getting a strong jump off the start. Stephen Spies tried to utilize the outside line, but noticed it wasn’t working before diving low halfway through the event. After a heated battle, Spies took the checkered flag. Hunter Hill led out the B Main consolation and jumped out to an early lead blocking Neville Ulph. John Wilson was charging up through the field clearing around Ulph and quickly closing on the leader. Wilson held the inside line and was able to hold the lead to take the checkered flag finishing up the preliminary events of the night.

Proudfoot led the 18-car field around to take the green flag as the 40-lap feature event kicked off. Proudfoot jumped out to a strong lead off the jump ahead of Hargreaves as the drivers behind shuffled over early gains. Loomis was committed to the outside line early trying to challenge Hargreaves for 2nd but unable to complete the move with Proudfoot pulling away from the field by almost 2 seconds going with the first 10 laps completed. Loomis continued to battle with Hargreaves blocking drivers from behind that had caught the battle.

Hargreaves took note of Loomis’s strategy and went up high to block him off while Carlisle started to pressure Loomis for 3rd. Loomis changed up his line going to the inside, but again wasn’t able to find the speed to clear around and Carlisle took advantage of the situation tucking in behind Hargreaves and cleared into 3rd. Going into the 2nd half of the night, Proudfoot enjoyed the battling behind him as he stretched his lead out to almost 4 seconds and was starting to reach the first signs of lap traffic.

Northcutt caught Loomis with 10 laps remaining and again cleared around him using the outside line with Davis close behind. Carlisle stayed tight on the rear of Hargreaves with both drivers running up against the outside wall when the caution flag came out with contact between Davis and Spies with 7 laps to go erasing Proudfoot’s 6 second lead and bringing the field back together for a single file restart. Hargreaves tried to stay with Proudfoot off the jump, but Proudfoot had the dominate speed and pulled away again as Carlisle tried to use the restart to challenge Hargreaves for 2nd.

Going into the final laps, Proudfoot had proven to be untouchable with Carlisle running side by side with Hargreaves. Coming out of the last corner, Brandyn Proudfoot took the checkered flag and Adam Carlisle took 2nd place away from William Hargreaves. Billy Northcutt and Zachary Loomis rounded out the top 5 tonight at Kokomo Speedway.

William Hargreaves holds onto the points lead with 638 points. Billy Northcutt sits in 2nd with 604 points. Adam Carlisle is in 3rd place with 593 points. J R Shepherd holds on to 4th place with 531 points and Chris Davis rounds out the top 5 drivers with 392 points. Going into the next round, the drivers will be back after the Thanksgiving holiday to take on Port Royal Speedway on December 2nd with all of the dirt slinging action broadcast live at 7:10PM ET exclusively on the Virtual Grip Network!
